Christmas Decorating Weekend

Another wonderful weekend comes to an end, but at least I don't have a full week of work until the 2nd week of January! My work Christmas party is this Thursday, and then they always give us the Friday after off which is great. I've already got my "Yankee Swap" gift wrapped and ready to go. We've got another Christmas party on Saturday that we're really looking forward to... I love this time of year!

We got our tree last weekend and had it decorated, but we didn't really get to decorating the rest of the house until this weekend.

We got my favorite.. a Fraser Fir. They smell like citrus mixed with Christmas tree needles, plus they're super soft to touch and the needles don't prick you.

The dining room table is decorated with our 2 fav nutcrackers: my sparkly gold one and H's Chiefs. I also love my singing and dancing penguins that my mom got me a few years ago from Hallmark.

I love this little guy! And H and I picked up the fireplace tart burner from the Yankee Candle flagship store in MA.

We have nutcrackers everywhere!

Our calendar that I made on snapfish last year is finally at December! I used pictures for this month from when we were home for Christmas last year. The caption says "I'll be home for Christmas".

We spent Saturday and Sunday cleaning and decorating and I tested out my new Kitchen Aid mixer twice! I made buffalo dip on Saturday night, and I made cinnamon streusel muffins this morning for breakfast.

Friday night a friend of ours had a VIP table downtown, needless to say we had a fabulous time! But it sure was nice to relax and work on the house the rest of the weekend. Plus, we took Roxy for a nice walk this afternoon and ended up chatting with some of our neighbors for a few hours and enjoying the fresh air.

Great night!

How was everyone's weekend? Any exciting Christmas festivities coming up?
