Holiday Party Ready

I am all about dressing up for all the fun and festive holiday events this time of year. It's such a great excuse to break out the shiny and sparkly pieces that spend the majority of the year in the back of the closet. I can't get enough of all the amazing Christmas Party Dresses (which are super affordable) from Femme Luxe and am excited for all the upcoming soirees. Just add a sparkly clutch and a bold lip, and of course a glass of bubbles.

Velvet Mini Dress {Currently only $18} | Heels | Bag | Lipstick

If this dress is a little too short for your taste, it can also be paired with some PU Leggings and double as a festive top instead. I plan on rocking this as a slinky dress and as a top especially on a chillier evening.

I've got the (navy) blues

Are we really only a week away from Christmas?! Thankfully, I'm finally ready, but I'm still just a little sad that the magic of the season is about to come and go in the blink of an eye. Aside from the day itself, I love everything building up to it. The baking, the Christmas specials, the lights, the parties, and the extra time with family and friends.

But don't mind me... I'm still over here working on re-building my work wardrobe. As I've mentioned before, I hadn't had a dress code for several years so I've slowly been collecting pieces that will work not just for 9-5, but in real life as well. This tie front dress has been perfectly comfy for all day at the office (rocked it last Friday at work), and also for taking Lil' Miss to see Christmas lights over the weekend. Win-win!

Dress {On sale for $12} | Ankle Booties | Ring | Sunglasses

Even though I'm drawn to dresses for comfort while sitting at the computer and in meetings all day, I'm a huge fan of pants that don't feel like pants if you know what I mean. I was excited to scoop up these paperbag waist pants, and it's almost not fair that they call themselves pants. I felt like I was in heavenly athleisure all day. Yes please!

It's all in the stuffing

Is this really the last Monday of a full week for the year? We made it! Although it's super hard to believe, it's such a great feeling to know we will have precious time with family and friends in the coming weeks. We went for dinner and drinks on the lake before taking Lil' Miss to see some Christmas lights over the weekend, and she was living her best life! I'm not sure what she was more excited about having her own mini cheese pizza or running free through all the light displays.

Dress {on sale for only $12} | Ankle Booties | Bag

I don't know about you, but the stocking is one of my favorite things to open on Christmas morning! All the fun little goodies packed inside like beauty minis. Some of my favorite minis are Mini MAC lipsticks for only $10 and this primer that works better than some of my tried and true prestige bands. This mascara has also been a favorite of mine lately especially because it has clean ingredients. HUGE win win!

I am a huge fan of re-usable items, and these straws will save a ton of plastic over time. Tis the season for germs, and I've been running Health Shield in my diffuser which is a great affordable dupe for Thieves. Ornaments and jewelry are always a good idea like this bridge ring and these fun earrings

And if you've been around here long enough, you already know that I'm a sucker for anything with bubbles. This book is on my list, and prosecco pong officially the new beer pong. At least it feels classier, right? And if you're heading out for a night of bubbles, this glitter bag will go perfect with any look.

Ringing in the Holiday Season

Is it true? Are we seriously only 2 weeks away from Christmas? I don't know about you, but I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that the big guy in the red suit will be coming down the chimney in only fourteen days! It's been one event after another which is part of what makes this time of year so magical and fun (albeit super busy and stressful), and I'm all about adding a little extra pizazz like some gold rings to my holiday look. Aside from all the holiday soirees, I also made sure to pack this pretty piece in my suitcase when we went to Marco Island for Thanksgiving weekend (recap found here). And now I'm missing the beach, it was just so peaceful and relaxing. Ahhhh...

Cheers to last minute gift and stocking stuffer ideas, and of course coffee. Still thinking about this iced beauty with 2 pumps of peppermint. Because it tasted like Christmas. Yum!

Are you done with your holiday shopping yet? I feel like with Thanksgiving being so late this year that I'm extra behind. Even our Christmas cards haven't arrived yet, and I'm only about halfway done shopping for friends and family. The heat is ON! Please tell me I'm not the only one!

Disney Weekending

It was SO nice to catch up with some of fav ladies this weekend to celebrate two birthdays at Disney Springs. It was a day full of rooftop drinks, charcuterie boards, lots of laughs, and the Christmas Tree Trail. Girls days are good for the soul!

Dress {Currently 40% off} | Jacket {Only $21} | Bow Bracelet | Sneakers | Ring | Lipstick

And then let's just file this under things I said I would NEVER do as a mom - we officially welcomed an Elf into our home complete with a North Pole breakfast. Lil' Miss was over the moon excited, and had more sugar than she's ever had in one sitting. Meet Sprinkles! She'll be with us until Christmas Eve, and we are officially that family - ha!

Scallops and Skirts

I'm still working on re-building my work wardrobe after several years of not having a dress code, and have found 2 more affordable pieces that make a great addition to the M-F line up. Pencil skirts are always a great idea, and this one is super comfy too. I also fell in love with the scallop edges on this jumpsuit, and did I mention it has pockets?! Yes please! I am THAT girl trying to carry her lap top, coffee, and my work phone on me to meetings. At least with pockets, I no longer need to carry my phone or my badge.
Skirt {only $8} | Graphic TeeWedges | Ring

I wear a lot of skirts and dresses to work because they're just a lot more comfortable than pants with a waistband digging in while sitting at a computer and in meetings all day. However, this jumpsuit is a game changer. Beautiful, crisp, scallop edge detailing, and it HAS POCKETS. Mic drop! Just add a cardigan for those arctic office temperatures. Why does every office keep it SO cold? I do like to feel my fingers and toes ya know!

Jumpsuit {only $20} | Lipstick in D for Danger | Ring

Thanksgiving in Marco Island

After all the traveling for work the past few months, I was in need of some quality time with my little family. It was SO nice to get away with them over Thanksgiving break to Marco Island. We booked a few nights at the Hilton Marco Island Resort and Spa where we enjoyed waking up to beach views, playing in the sand, pool time, gorgeous sunsets, and eating all of our meals outside. Lil' miss was living her best life (as always)!

As we walked into the resort lobby, they were in the process of decorating for Christmas and by that evening their halls were officially decked and looking gorgeous. We checked in quickly, and went up to the room to dump our luggage and change for the beach. We lucked out with the most gorgeous weather the whole time - low 80's and mostly sunny. Which meant lots of sunscreen, hats, and relaxing under umbrellas to practice safe sun.

*Best Mai Tai I've ever had*

*The new shower beer*

*Thanksgiving brunch with water views was Lil' Miss approved*

For Thanksgiving dinner, we headed into Naples to check out the Christmas lights and eat under the stars. Once again the sunset did not disappoint. We were totally spoiled on this trip!
