Unplugged

Taking time off between Christmas and the New Year was so good for the soul, not just at work but here on the blog too. I love this little space of mine, but sometimes it's refreshing to take a step back and focus on what really matters. It took me several days to stop logging in, and checking email plus a few co-workers yelling at me to enjoy my time off (it pains me that I was THAT person). But once I fully un-plugged it was glorious. I fully enjoyed all my extra time with little miss with visits to the park, a birthday party, and a trip to Disney Springs to see the Trail of Christmas Trees. Going into my first full week in almost a month will be rough, but I'm refreshed and ready. And armed with all the coffee of course....

I also had to finally try one of the millennial pink champagne drinks which was totally worth every penny. This is a judgement free zone!

We loved the "snow" in Florida

On Christmas Eve, we went to see more Christmas lights and lil' miss was living her best life running around and dancing to all the Christmas music. Then there was a mini-meltdown while putting out the cookies for Santa. Someone thought they were HER cookies, but all was well the next morning when she saw what Santa dropped off while eating her cookies.

*Running off with the birthday boy*

I also met up with Pamela to catch up over bubbles at the cutest outdoor bar. And yet people still ask me why I moved to Florida.... this is why. Outdoor living in December and January - enough said.

I wrapped up the holiday fun on New Year's Eve with one last outing to see Christmas decor and enjoy a nice walk around the lake before settling in at home to enjoy bubbles by the fire pit.

  29. Being unplugged is SO needed, especially around the holidays and especially with a young kid. Looks like you took her to so many cute and festive places to get the Christmas spirit going and look at all those gifts under the tree! I hope Baby Fashionista enjoy every minute of it!

  30. OMG S is turning into your mini!!! So cute. Love all the holiday adventures you had (yes, even the millennial pink drink!) I was proud of my staff for unplugging more this year than they have previously. I realized that I need to be a better leader on that - so I tried to lead by example. ;) Easier said than done, but definitely worth being deliberate about - so cheers to you for making an effort, too!
