Life Lately

I've been very sporadic with posting lately as things have been super busy with work and travel, so I thought it'd be fun to play some catch up.

I'm super excited to finally be off the wait list for Play! by Sephora. Ever since I first heard about their new subscription box service last year I've been wanting those coveted striped boxes to arrive on my doorstep each month. I can't wait for my first one to arrive in May!

I took an impromptu weekend trip to Virginia where I got to check out VA Beach for the first time. Lots of good food was eaten, rounds of mini golf, and checking out a new area.

We also checked out Home Republic that Pamela recommended after spending some time down by the beach with Duck Donuts because warm donuts! It was a cute brewery and wine bar with great food a block away from the beach. Definitely a cool spot to check out if you find yourself in Virginia Beach.

Afterwards, it was time for some mini golf and delicious table-side guacamole at a great Mexican spot. Yum!

After a whirlwind trip, it was back to the grind and relaxing evenings at home. I'm still thoroughly enjoying Lauren Conrad's new party planning book Celebrate, and for those of you who haven't scooped it up yet there's a 10% off cartwheel for it this week at Target. You're welcome!

  4. seems like people are putting blogging on the back burner (myself included!) for life which is way more awesome, if you ask me! then again, when summer rolls around, blogland is pretty quiet.

  7. So exciting you are off the wait list! Can't wait to hear what you think of May's box. Sounds like a great time in Virginia Beach! I haven't been in a while, which is so bad since it's only a few hours from us! Aren't Duck Donuts amazing though?? They opened a location near our house last summer. Seriously dangerous. haha!

  16. I was in Virginia Beach for a couple days back when my brother was coming home from overseas (he was in the Navy and on a carrier for a little more than a year), and I remember it being such a cute boardwalk and beach. Warm donuts? Yes, please! And, thanks for the heads up about the Cartwheel deal for Celebrate - I'm going there today!
