Weekending in Islamorada

Back to life.... back to reality! After spending the long holiday weekend in the beautiful Islamorada, I'm already thinking about my next getaway!
Friday was a cozy evening, and it was time for Sopranos night with my fav neighbors. Every few weeks we get together, cook up an Italian meal, enjoy some wine, and have a Sopranos marathon until we finish the series.

Saturday, it was time to hit the road for the Keys since I needed to be there to represent the magazine I work for the next morning at the Florida Keys Wedding Showcase. Yeah, it's pretty safe to say I love my job!
*I tried the new latte macchiato w/ skim and 2 shots of vanilla - YUM*
It was so nice being able to stop in Islamorada instead of driving all the way down to Key West. After getting checked in at the resort, I headed down to the beach and checked out the pool area.
**I plan on coming back, and posting a full review of Islamorada for our next Wanderlust Wednesday linkup on February 10th. I'll talk about great spots to eat and drink, things to do, the Guy Harvey Islander Resort, and the different vibe from Key West.**
Sunday was the wedding show that I had been preparing for the past few months, and I was excited to share our brand and network with the destination wedding vendors and brides. The event was gorgeous and a total success! I really enjoyed getting to know some of the vendors and resort representatives in the area.
After the event, it was time to eat since I never had lunch and powered through the event. Taking in the beautiful views and relaxing with a drink was perfection.
Then it was time to switch over to the bay side to watch the sunset....
The next morning it was time to check out and say goodbye, but not without a stop for one last meal with a view for breakfast.
Stay tuned for my full review of Islamorada for our next Wanderlust Wednesday linkup on February 10th with more detail on where to eat and drink, things to do, the Guy Harvey Islander Resort, and the different vibe from Key West.
