Hello 2016

My staycation is officially over *tear*, the Christmas decor has been taken down, and 2016 has been rung in. The necessity of coffee this morning is an understatement, and if you're playing catch up in blog-land from taking a much needed break to enjoy the holidays with friends and family you can find my Christmas recap here and my 2015 recaps here: Part I and Part II.
I kicked off the last week of my time off for the holidays at the beach since it was still unseasonably warm earlier in the week.
Afterwards, we hit up a cool looking restaurant that resembles a treehouse for a snack before heading home to have dinner with our fav neighbors.
*Charlie Brown is also always a good idea*
The rest of the week was relaxing with some Bar Method classes, lunch with a friend, and getting ready to ring in the new year. On New Year's Eve, I put on one of my favorite sequined dresses, grabbed a bottle of champagne, and headed over to a friend's house for their annual party.
After ringing in 2016, it was time to play with sparklers and light off some fireworks outside.
New Year's Day we celebrated my mother in-law's birthday, and took down the Christmas decor. I still can't get over not seeing our beautiful tree as I come down the stairs *sigh*.
On Saturday, I did an at home Barre3 workout before heading out to meet up with friends and try out a local brewery. getting some food, and having a game night.
Sunday was a lazy rainy day which was perfect for the last weekend of regular season football, reading, and of course the premier of the final season of Downton Abbey.

I'm not one to make resolutions, but there are a lot of things I'd like to accomplish in 2016:

Blog Related

1. Get this space re-designed with a cleaner look and finally update the tabs (delete unnecessary ones), and create a media kit.
2. Finally purchase a DSLR and learn how to edit my photos
3. Grow my instagram (@greenfashionista)

Non-Blog Related

1. Re-do the floors on the first floor
2. Paint the family room
3. Get new couches for the family room
4. Get a bar cart
5. Put up back-splash in the kitchen
6. See at least one new U.S. city and one new country (always looking to add more stamps to my beautiful passport)

What are you hoping to accomplish in 2016?
