Birthday Cruise

I can't believe I've been back from our cruise celebrating a friend's 40th birthday for a month, and I'm only just now pulling myself together to recap all the fun! Better late than never!

We set sail on Virgin Voyage's Scarlet Lady which is an adult's only cruiseline, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I kept waiting for kids to run by or cannon ball into the hot tub, and when it didn't happen it was odd but I got used to it quickly. I loved how they include a welcome toast, a welcome bottle of bubbles in your room, free Wi-Fi, and all restaurants and fitness classes. We also had a $300 bar tab to enjoy.

The only thing I noticed was missing from other cruise lines (aside from kids - ha!) were the gangway photos. There wasn't a photographer waiting as you board and as you disembark at each port of call. As much as I love collecting those photos, it was also nice not to spend all this extra $$ on photos.

For dinner the first night, we ate at Pink Agave which was Mexican food inspired and it was of course DELISH! Even the guacamole was fire.

Then it was time for the onboard pajama party, and it was so much fun to sail away with a fun theme and to the 90's and 2000's music pumping in the club. I was in my element. Not a Gen Z in sight.

The next morning we were docked in Key West, and it was the birthday girl's actual birthday. We kicked off the day with brunch at Bagatelle before exploring the island and heading back on board for the Scarlet Party. Yes, we were all wearing shirts with her face on it - priceless!

Friday was an at sea day, so we started the day with a celebratory on board brunch which was included in our Splash for Your Bash package, and then we enjoyed the pool party before getting ready for dinner.

Personalized Tumblers - which we ended up using for ice water and/or Liquid IV

Sequin Dress {on sale for only $25}

Our last full day was spent in Bimini, Bahamas at the Beach Club. Beach and pool time followed by exploring the island and stopping at the cutest tiki bar before heading back to the ship.

Yes, we're matching, and my favorite part is it was his idea!
