Rompers and Take Out

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend even if it didn't look like it usually does surrounded by loved ones. I went nuts picking up Easter decor and stuff for my daughter's Easter basket back in February, and I recall feeling silly that I was getting it so early. Man am I glad that I did, we had everything we needed to dye Easter eggs, her basket was all set, and our special breakfast was even ready. I had also picked up some more books to teach her to the real meaning of Easter, and she said in the sweetest voice on Sunday morning "He is risen!" Proud momma right here!

After coloring our Easter eggs (and getting glitter everywhere), we headed out to pick up some take out from our favorite local Mexican restaurant. They had closed down completely when we all went into quarantine, and finally opened back up for take out orders including their amazing margaritas. Needless to say I (along with a lot of others in the area) were super excited, and it was exactly what we needed for dinner on Saturday. I didn't realize how much I missed their food and their margaritas. YUM! I threw on this adorable romper to go pick up dinner, and it felt so nice to wear real clothes and feel somewhat like myself.

On Easter morning, Lil' Miss opened her basket of goodies and went on an egg hunt inside for the plastic eggs and then outside for the real eggs we decorated the day before. I also wanted to dress up a little to feel more festive, and thought this dress was perfect for the celebration at home.

  9. Love your dress and romper! I had started picking up stuff for Easter in February too, and so glad I did! I had also decorated our house on February 15 haha. I am taking it down today, and am a little sad to see it all go. Easter decor is my favorite besides Christmas! I love all the white and pastels. Sounds like you guys had a great weekend!

  17. Ohh I love that romper-- I'm so excited for warm weather! Yay for being prepared with Easter stuff- I was thankful I ordered a few things online early so we were able to dye eggs too. We had the same little kit & I'm sure hearing her say 'he is risen' was the sweetest!

  24. That red romper is SO cute! It reminds me of this mini dress I saw on an ad recently, but I think the romper makes way more sense. ;) Love the sweet story about Miss S on Easter. You're doing a great job, mama. :) I'm a little jealous that you're still getting dressed for things. I should follow your lead... I'd probably feel more productive that way. Maybe? Kind of? Sort of? Almost? lol. Have a great week ahead, girlie!
