Hello Rio

And that's a wrap! The EXPO World Tour at work brought me to 4 continents in a month and a half. WOOF! It was surreal, amazing, and exhausting. I feel incredibly blessed, but SO happy to be home for good now. I'd like to thank my husband for being a total rock star and holding down the fort at home with lil' miss each time I had to leave for several days especially seeing how when I got back I was jet lagged and catching up on sleep for a while.

Social media may make it look glamorous because isn't globe trotting fun?! But what you don't see are the tears streaming down my face on the way to the airport because I just left my little girl or the numerous flight delays, the super long (and stressful) days because helloooo I was there for work after all, or the bags under my eyes because I didn't get much sleep. That's the real side of the past few months. I'm blessed beyond words for these opportunities, and above all I LOVE what I do which is truly the greatest gift. If anyone wants a peak into what I was doing on all these trips I can send you the Instagram handle to check it out, as I was there covering the events for social media.

We kicked off the world tour here in Orlando, then headed to Singapore, Milan, and our last stop was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As gorgeous as Rio is - unfortunately it was raining almost the entire time I was there. I barely caught a glimpse of all the amazing mountains that encase the city. And the site seeing I was able to do on our last day was done entirely in the rain.

After being delayed and heading home for the evening and trying again the next day, I finally arrived in beautiful Rio de Janeiro before the sunrise. I was thankful to be able to check in and crash at the hotel and take a shower before heading over to the venue that afternoon to collect content and then get ready for the gala that evening.

The only break in the clouds the whole time I was there was during the outdoor workout one morning. I'm glad they were able to host it outside on the terrace as planned, but man it made it hot and humid!

We took the cable car up to Sugarloaf Mountain even though it was raining and we wouldn't be able to see much. It was still a neat experience to go up there and walk around, and we did catch a few glimpses of the sites below when the clouds broke up a little.

*Ready to take the train up the mountain to one of the 7 wonders of the world*

THERE HE IS!!!

Even though He was covered in clouds, and we couldn't take in the amazing views of the city and beaches below I was emotional as I walked up to the statue. Words can't describe how it felt to be in the presence of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Pictures don't do it justice! In person, we were able to make out the detail of the statue including His face.

After racing back to the hotel to grab my luggage and check out, it was time to head to the airport. One last yummy meal in Brazil (with bubbles of course) before boarding the plane to home sweet home.

I don't even think I'd be strong enough or brave enough to be away from my loved ones for that long. You are a true rockstar!! Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us too xo

  18. it looks like so much fun - even with the rain! I agree with you, leaving the kids behind is hard. I've moved teams at work so I don't have to travel as much as I used to pre kids - it's easier for me that way, thankfully bosses are understanding!

Hope that you had a wonderful weekend :) Thank you so much for joining the #weekdayWearLinkUp :) I just posted this week's linkup, I'd love you to join again!
