California Here We Come!

... or more like there we go as I'm back home from a whirlwind work trip to San Diego. I'm sad it's already over, but it feels amazing to be back home. My brain is on overdrive after 3 days at the Social Media Marketing World conference. SO much knowledge! Definitely worth every single penny that companies invest in their employees to attend, and I can't wait to apply all that I've learned both professionally and personally.

I stayed at the Omni San Diego which was the perfect location - right across the street from the convention center so I could easily come and go to the conference and in the heart of the Gaslamp District. And can we talk about how my room looked right out into Petco Park? My baseball lovers heart was super happy except for the fact that the Padres are still away at spring training.

*View from my room right into the stadium*

Ready to hit the ground running in San Diego, and do some exploring. Side note - these leggings were perfect for the 5 and 1/2 hour flight over and for all the walking I did once I arrived. They're super soft and less than $15.

*Ready for Day 1 of the conference*

*Surreal to see Michael Stelzner in person - he's kind of a big deal in marketer's world*

Can we also talk about how the conference included networking runs (or walks) and wellness breaks that included yoga and other movement classes? YES please!

*Still dreaming about my iced latte from Copa Vida - made me say Starbucks who?*

*Ready to check out after a fulfilling conference*

  6. Sounds like a successful work trip with some sprinkles on fun...and go you for fitting some workout time! That's some motivation right there because I know those conferences can be long and draining.

  11. Sounds like the content was great as was the rest of it. Super to have more varied and active networking now instead of just cocktails or golf.

  12. Your conference looks like it was a lot of fun. Yoga during the conference, sunny SD, the gaslamp district (my favorite) and baseball.

  13. So glad you had such a great time! They always have such great speakers and there's a wealth of knowledge you can take away from the conference. :)

  14. That conference looks like it was a blast. I wish I could go to a conference like that. My office is too cheap to let us do anything. Hell, they can barely pay us fairly unless of course you are an attorney, then they can. The rest of us are just merely peasants. Too bad the padres were at spring training. That would be so fun to go to one of their games.

  19. Wow, it sounds like an amazing conference and a 3 day fun filled trip! I love SD and the Gaslamp District is just a wonderful place to be. It's so close to so many restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, etc. Can I say heaven?! Let's not forget the weather. You probably got spoiled with "perfect" weather there. I haven't stayed at Omni but man, it is such a beauty!
