Let's Catch Up Over Monday Coffee

I feel like my time here on this little slice of the internet that I call mine has been very sporadic lately, so it's time to catch up. Grab your coffee (because Monday), and get ready for an overhaul of life lately.

One word can sum it all up - BUSY. And I am not trying to glorify busyness (still loving my girl Lindsay for speaking out against that), I've just been simply overwhelmed. Work (which I'm still loving the new-ish gig) has been insanely busy with our biggest events of the year kicking off here in town before moving around the world, I've been on "standby" to fly up to CT at a moment's notice due to a family member's declining health, I'm also knee deep in planning for our upcoming planned trip to CT for fall fun and to celebrate lil' miss' birthday, and speaking of my almost 2 year old (how is she almost 2?!) I'm on a marathon of chasing her around and showering her with kisses and hugs which keeps me smiling.

Amidst all the craziness, I cashed in some of my birthday gift cards from last month and finally completed Serena's bathroom which is of course mermaid themed. So to wrap up on a happier note, I wanted to share some of my recent buys ~ most of which are on sale!

I won't be wearing any fall clothes for a while here in the sunshine state, but I have been scooping up some fun pieces for our trip to CT and fun pieces for lil' miss as well. I mean how can you resist these mermaid shoes?! I also finally pulled the trigger on the leopard clutch that I'd been eyeing for over a year.

Enough about me, what's new with you?

  12. Love that clutch too, but haven't pulled the trigger. I just don't use clutches as much as regular bags. Love that shade of polish!

  13. I am so sorry about your family member's health. :-( I am also sorry that you are feeling overwhelmed right now. Things will get better though so stay strong girl! Sending good vibes and love your way too! :-) On a much brighter note, I love that striped dress and that pink v-neck sweater. Anyways! I also thought of you this weekend for two reasons. 1. Because I went to Express and ended up buying a jumpsuit 2. I saw that Leith body con dress in purple at Nordstrom yesterday. :-) Hope that your week goes smoothly too!!

  21. Oh gosh same here. Busy BUSY work schedule so it's hard to fit in all the blogging in your schedule, especially you with a toddler. I can't wait to see her mermaid bathroom! Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis

  22. I've JUST starting reading your blog but love your reference to not glorfying business - I sometimes feel 'guilty' writing my blog that I am so lazy sometimes. I know some people thrive on being busy but I need 'down time' and simply lazy points in the week. Really looking forward to your post on Connecticut - it is somewhere I've never been but would love to visit! Joanne x
