Happy Friday and Cinco de Mayo!
Today is one of the most fun holidays, because who doesn't enjoy Mexican food and margaritas? As much as I love margaritas, what I don't like is when they're loaded down with sour mix and hundreds of calories. I typically break open a bottle of Skinny Girl *no salt please* or whip up a batch at home with fresh juices and a splash of club soda.Ingredients
5-6 oz. tequila of choice (I used Patron)
2 oranges
1 grapefruit
2 limes
Splash of club soda
Salt to taste
Directions
Pour tequila into a pitcher over ice
Rinse and cut fruit in half and squeeze juices into pitcher
Add club soda to taste
Stir and enjoy
You can also add a splash of blue curacao for some extra color and flavor. You can't go wrong with guilt free blue margaritas!
I mentioned a few weeks back that these beauties were finally back in stock (because we all know that if rose gold is an available color option, then that's what I will choose), but they were still on backorder. I waited over a month for them to arrive, and when they finally did I was swimming in them. I immediately traded them in for a smaller size, and couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the wait!
Adidas Superstar Sneakers in Metallic
I spotted this cold shoulder dress on sale for 40% off, and scooped it up for our upcoming trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley. It'll pair perfectly with the metallic sneakers for full days of walking and exploring.
Dress in Antler - Socialite
Less is more applies to almost everything this time of year - clothes, food, and even makeup. I love keeping my skin fresh with just some BB cream with SPF, and a touch of illuminating face powder for that summer glow.
Mineralize Skinfinish in Warm Rose (currently 10% off) - MAC
My favorite shorts for spring and summer are less than $23, run don't walk to pick up a pair. You can usually find me in dresses for the comfort factor, but these shorts are stretchy and just as comfortable as my lovable sundresses for warm days.

ReplyDeleteYum, those sound so good! I need to really look into doing some skinny ritas instead of my calorie-filled ones! Oh, and I meant to tell you, I saw your picture on the Target website the other day when I was shopping for some jorts! They have that picture on their Target Style page!

Oh that Mac cream looks really pretty and perfect for Summer time. I want to make those margs tonight. I just need a few items. Ha. I hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like that cold-shoulder dress. And the drink sounds good. I tried the Budweiser Lima-a-rita, but it was too sugary.
ReplyDeleteI am all-about the rose gold too, so I immediately had heart-eyes for those sneakers! I recently bought a Fitbit and was so conflicted because the rose gold face did not come with the strap colors I wanted... but obviously rose gold trumps all and won out in the end! :D
ReplyDeleteStill loving those crochet shorts! The skinny Margaritas sound perfect for Cinco de Mayo! I'm not a fan of the rich sweet yet bitter taste of Margaritas but I could have definitely enjoyed your recipe today!
ReplyDeleteTHOSE KICKS!!! i'm looking for them now!
ReplyDeleteYUM! Your margarita recipe sounds delicious! It was definitely a little tough last night sipping on a soda instead of a marg!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is going to look SO good on you!!! Those sneakers are super cute too. I do not like sugary margaritas either, bleh! Thanks for sharing your yummy recipe and I hope that you are having an amazing weekend so far! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh the skinny margaritas sound delicious! I want to try out this recipe!
