Relaxing Weekending

How is it April already, looks like 2017 is going to fly by just like her lil' sis 2016. 

Friends of ours hosted their first annual chili cook off, and there were 9 chilis to vote on. My favorite that I voted for was the runner up. Yum! Now enter some grainy pics from that evening, none of which involve said chili.


*Serena dined on her tutu while the rest of us voted on the chili*


Sunday was a relaxing day catching up on house cleaning, a good workout, and trying out some new recipes. Which were of course enjoyed by the pool because the weather has been spring perfection.


Creamsicle Smoothie

1 cup of organic spinach
1 orange (peeled)
1/2 cup of organic milk (I used skim)
1 heaping tbsp. of pure vanilla
2 cups of ice

Blend and enjoy!


Is it just me, or is there nothing like opening up a fresh new foundation compact? They're always so pretty, and the sponge is so clean it's almost too hard to start using it. I replenished my Studio Fix last week during their 25% off sale, and I swear the new compacts just go on smoother.


I was sipping on these over the weekend, and love that they're light, refreshing, and made with all natural ingredients. If you enjoy the LaCroix sparkling waters, you'll love these. They're similar (0 artificial sweeteners), but with a spiked kick for weekend fun.

    Oooh I remember that creamsicle green smoothie and it was delicious! Definitely will be in the rotation once baby is here :) So glad you had fun at the chili cookoff!

    I've got to try the Truly Spiked & Sparkling drinks! Laying by the pool sounds amazing. Even though it's warm during the day here, it's cool in the mornings and evenings and not totally pool weather yet.
