Summer Support

Summer Support

I am in full on summer mode over here, and have been enjoying fun around town as Lil' Miss is officially down with yet another school year. Time needs to slooooooow down please and thank you.

If you've been outside lately (or even just peaked at your weather app), you know summer is clocking in for her time to shine. From early morning iced coffee runs to happy hour drinks on the patio, I am here for all the spontaneous fun. But with all the running around, comfortable and supportive footwear is a non-negotiable. My high arches are loving the support from supination insoles even in a pair of rented bowling shoes. Because why not?! Speaking of bowling, we had so much fun spending an afternoon in the glorious AC at Keg Social in Orlando. A few rounds of bowling, competitive games of ping pong, arcade games, and the food was amazing too. Still thinking about that brisket mac and cheese! Loved feeling supported during all that fun on my feet.

We also did a lot of walking at a local festival, where I even ran through the splash pad too because summer temps. Love when there are plenty of activities for the kiddos as well. Always great memories.

We also finally checked out a new-to-us Mexican restaurant to try their margaritas. We will definitely be back because I love it when margaritas are made with fresh juice instead of sour mix. And the dry ice? Nice presentation!

Another stop around town was at the new Saku Sauna Spa and Massage where I was treated to a relaxing afternoon. Everything from the salt room to the sauna and pampering foot massage helped me fully recharge. Orlando can't help but keep showing off!

And we all love fun mail don't we? The sweet Andrea surprised me with this darling thank you card for the goodies I sent her way for her birthday. A pair of peep toe Louboutin's in a fun pattern? Yes please!

Summery Things

Summery Things

The unofficial kickoff to summer has happened, and as always I am here for it! Hands down my favorite season to dress for and enjoy all the activities! And those late sunsets? Yes please! Bring on all the pool and beach days, sunny dresses, travel, and fun in the water.

Pool time just got a little more fab with the prettiest pearly clam shell to hold ice and drinks in. And these customized Disney Cruise tumblers were perfect for the girls on our recent cruise on the Disney Wish (hoping to recap that soon!) and back at home as well to keep drinks cold.

Speaking of the cruise, I haven't been shopping much lately but did pick up some new dresses and bathing suits which will carry me right through summer (and fall in Florida).

Beachy Things

Beachy Things

I never came back to recap our mini-trip to the beach for Lil' Miss' spring break last month. So, here we are! Since I am still not working full time (so incredibly thankful for contract/freelance work!), and we have a friend's destination wedding coming up we decided to drive out to the beach for a few nights at Tradewinds Island Resort in St. Pete Beach and it was just what we needed.

Welcome cocktails for us and a frozen mocktail for Lil' Miss before hitting the beach and the pool for the afternoon. As much as I love flying or cruising to new destinations, I also love being able to pack up the car with our cooler, beach toys for Lil' Miss, our beach wagon, and fun floaties. I picked up this glittery floatie right before the trip, and it was perfect for the relaxing waves in the Gulf.

That evening we all put some Kenny Flowers on, and headed out to dinner by the water at The Toasted Monkey. Little did we know that the restaurant we chose had just reopened a few days before after major damage from recent hurricanes. We were so happy to help support a local business that was sidelined for a while due to the storms.

The next morning we went to Tiki Bagel for breakfast before heading back to the resort to spend the day in the water. The coffee was delish and so were the bagel combos - Lil' Miss loved her kids bagel with Nutella and bananas.

These Boots Were Made for Walking

These Boots Were Made for Walking

...and that's just what they'll do. Festival and concert season is officially here, and that means long days on our feet, dancing, exploring, and chasing all the good vibes. If you're pulling out your favorite pair of boots, it might be time to refresh them with high quality insert replacements. These Ugg Insert Replacements will give your shoes new life with plush support that feels like you're walking on clouds no matter how long the encore lasts.

Rhinestone Fringe Skirt {available in 8 colors} | Bodysuit | Boots | Sunglasses

Whether you're rockin' cowboy boots at a country fest or combat boots at your favorite rock show, your feet deserve a comfort upgrade. I can't believe I used to wear flip flops to all day festivals - my feet hurt just thinking about all the walking and of course dancing!

What shows do you have currently lined up for this spring and summer? We are hoping to check out Morgan Wallen (Lil' Miss will be over the moon to see him!), The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and also thinking about seeing Chris Stapleton later this year at the Hard Rock Live. And I wouldn't be mad at seeing Metallica again - they were incredible live!

Spring Lately

Spring Lately

Are we really halfway through April already? Sheesh! Easter is less than a week away, and Lil' Miss has about a month left of the school year. Time I've asked you very politely to please slow down. We've just been enjoying all things spring over here, and all the fun groundbreaking florals and colors.

Dress {only $25} | Necklace | Sandals in Sea Shell Pink Patent {up to 40% off}

Last weekend we mostly laid low, and enjoyed the pool and cooking on the grill. On Sunday, we headed out for brunch at one of our favorite local spots and it did not disappoint. Always delish!

This weekend we squeezed in a quick date night, and treated ourselves to happy hour at a new to us steakhouse. Have you noticed most places have cut back their happy hours and they end at 6:00 instead of 7:00? Love when we find places that still have happy hour prices until 7:00. A discounted martini and flatbread was the perfect way to ring in the weekend.

Bonus points when you find a Saturday or Sunday happy hour! The Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar has a daily happy hour from 3:00 - 6:00 which is perfect for a pre-dinner cocktail on a Saturday afternoon/early evening.

Sunday was relaxing, we streamed church online and got things done around the house. I also scooped up what I could off my wish list from the Target x Kate Spade spring collab. I was so sad that the darling pieces I saved for Lil' Miss were sold out right away, but was happy to find a few items I had saved prior to the launch.

This adorable shift dress is perfect for all things spring and summer, and I can't get over the scalloped edges. So cute! I was very happy it was still available with most of the collection selling out super fast.

Kate Spade always has the prettiest entertaining pieces, and these dinner plates and salad plates come as a set of 4. I couldn't resist - LOVE the pops of green against the black and white patterns.

And there is even a taper candle set to match! (They also come in a pink, orange, black and cream color combination if that's more your style.)

I've set alerts for certain pieces if they happen to come back in stock - I'm eyeing the cheeseboard set, the drinkware set, the citronella candle, the ruched linen tank top, and some adorable pieces for Lil' Miss. Swoon.

Spring Things

Spring Things

Well hello spring! Lots of seasonal fun happening over here including wearing all the pretty green shades for St. Patrick's Day celebrations and a short trip to the beach for Lil' Miss' spring break) will recap our beach trip later this week).

Cutout Midi Dress {available in multiple colors} | Cuff Bracelet | Wedges {similar} | Sunnies

When you're donning green for a local St. Patrick's Day festival AND your favorite food truck is there you are smiling from ear to ear! Seriously the BEST pretzels!

Tank Top {available in multiple colors} | Denim Shorts | Crossbody Bag

I may buy mostly organic food and nitpick food labels, but seem to have no problem ordering a green food coloring beer on St. Patrick's Day. It's all about moderation folks.

I also had a fun at a local photo shoot to promote the Titanic exhibit in Orlando. It's always fun to meet other local models and see some familiar faces as well. Adding in one of my favorite stories to rabbit hole information on is just a huge bonus. Always mesmerized by the Titanic.
