Monday Deals Over Coffee

Am I the only one who's in total disbelief that it's already October?! I enjoyed a relaxing weekend filled with nostalgia since we were able to score one of the highly anticipated SNES Classics, and we thought the local Bacon and Brews festival was going to be rained out (newsflash - it wasn't) so we stayed in town. Between games of Super Mario World, Zelda, and Super Mario Kart I baked my first fall treats of the year ~ pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (recipe found here), and shopped the sales. So, I decided to round up some of my favorite items that can all be found at great discounts. Because who wants to pay full price?

It's not fall without a go-with-everything pair of ankle booties, and my favorite pair the past few years has been these slouchy peep toe beauties. Since it doesn't get chilly here until the calendar says winter, they're great paired with dresses, skirts, leggings, and shorts. Once it cools down, I'll pair them with my go-to denim as well. Did I mention they're comfy enough for all day walking at the local fairs and festivals too?

One of my favorite dresses ever is this ruched body-con number that I wore on the plane to San Francisco, and it was the perfect cozy piece for traveling and hitting the ground site seeing once we arrived. It's not on sale *womp womp*, but I have seen it go on sale so keep an eye on it if you're looking for a discount. I'm just excited that there are now 8 colors to choose from as it's a total closet staple. I am definitely scooping up more! It's great on it's own or under a jacket.

The prep in me lives in J. Crew's chino shorts which I only scoop up when on sale. I love all the bright color choices, and how they go with my cozy tanks, tees, and slouchy sweaters.

My favorite pop of leopard are these shoes which I wear with shorts, pants, skirts, and dresses. In the words of Forrest Gump, "These are my magic shoes, momma said they can take me anywhere!"

Espadrilles {40% off} - Soludos

Influenster has hit another one out of the park. I received the Ecstasy Shine voxbox over the weekend, and have been having so much fun testing out these amazing lippies. I love that Smile is a great every day color, and I can see Four Hundred being on repeat for the holiday season as a fun bold red.

Speaking of sales, there is a big one going on at Mixology featuring brands like BB Dakota (one of my all time favs), Gab & Kate, and J.O.A. You can shop this amazing sale here through Tuesday, October 3rd.

Light and Sweet

I actually prefer my coffee without sugar and a splash of skim milk, but I couldn't resist the fun title. I've scooped up a few pairs of the classic J. Crew chino shorts, and they are the perfect balance of light and sweet - or cozy chic.

Vacation Essentials

How is it already the last weekend in April?! With summer like temps, and spring in full swing I'm in full on vacation planning mode. Our San Francisco and Napa Valley trip is rapidly approaching, but we're also narrowing down our first family trip with lil' miss in the fall. Beaches and palm trees are a pre-requisite, and I can't wait to instill in her the amazingness that is wanderlust.

Vacation Essentials

Nothing makes me happier than a tropical getaway or lounging by the pool or at the beach, and BP. is killin' it yet again with their Beach Please hat. Completing the look for laying out in style is this blue scalloped two piece, Billabong coverup, and fun tote. And who wouldn't want this fun call bell for refills in the prettiest mason jar ever. Because pink pineapples! I broke out my mini flamingo and swan drink floaties last weekend, but now I think I need to make room in my pool loving heart for a golden swan drink holder that holds up to 4 drinks at once. I also get excited to break out Rose which was a sweet surprise from Emily for my birthday a few years ago.

If you struggle to blow up these fun floaties like I do, then this electric air pump will be a lifesaver! And last, but certainly not least is a pretty pineapple towel and waterproof radio. Hopefully it's playing some 90's throwbacks!

Fall Dresses

Well hello Monday after an impromptu long weekend! I want to say thank you to everyone for all the sweet texts, tweets, snaps, messages, etc... checking in to make sure we were ok in the sunshine state in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. The eye of the storm ended up trekking more off shore and never made landfall here which made such a huge difference. I couldn't be more thankful for the minimal damage, and how fortunate we were to not even lose power. Buttttt...  I'm all stabby at the idiots on my FB who actually had the nerve to complain that the storm was nothing after all that hype. We were so fortunate and I'm forever thankful. After the mandatory curfews were lifted, my weekend consisted of game night with my fav neighbors, some shopping, dining outdoors, and final preparations for baby girl.

I'm sure it's no secret how much I love dresses, and I can't stop scooping up so many of my fall favorites.
Fall Dresses

Olive - one of my favorite colors for fall. I picked up the Leith Dolman Dress during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and it's been patiently sitting in my closet waiting for it to cool down enough to wear. It fits over the bump, but I'm excited to see how it looks post-pregnancy with a pair of peep toe booties.
Flannel - Nothing says fall fashion more than flannel, and I'm obsessing over this Veronica Beard Ruched Shirtdress. I mean look at those ruffles!
Chambray - Everyone needs a great t-shirt dress, and this short-sleeve chambray number from J. Crew is one of my favs for fall.
Lace Up - Lace up tees were a favorite of mine through spring and summer, and I'm excited to bring that trend into fall with this cozy Madewell Sweater Lace Up Dress.
Turtleneck - I love how this BB Dakota Brandy Sweater Dress combines one of my favorite fall colors and a turtleneck to keep you a little warmer.
Fall Floral - Fall florals are everywhere this year, and this Leah Mini Dress is just so effortlessly pretty.
Off the Shoulder - I still can't get enough of the off the shoulder trend, and love that it's big for fall too. This Jason Off Shoulder Dress by Cupcakes and Cashmere is fall perfection.

And don't forget the fun accessories! I lived in these peep toe booties by Kristin Cavallari and Chinese Laundry last year, and plan on doing the same this year once it cools down and you can never have too many blanket scarves. Both the ankle booties and the blanket scarf pair great with most fall dresses to complete the look, and if you're in a cooler climate you can add a pair of tights too.

Friday Celebrations

Happy Friday! I'm super excited for this weekend's festivities, and can't believe we're going into the last official weekend of summer. Even though we'll still have "summer temps" here in the sunshine state for another month or two, I will be ready to decorate and bake all the fall treats!

1. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to my Bar Method family on Wednesday, as I made the tough decision to freeze my membership with baby girl being officially full term next week. My past year at the barre studio has been strengthening and inspiring, and the instructors were among the first to know about my pregnancy so that I could modify certain moves to keep the baby and myself safe. I owe my minimal swelling and back pain along with the healthy pregnancy weight gain to keeping up with this intense yet low impact workout.

2. I may be a little late to the game on this, but I am super excited about the Nordstrom and J. Crew collab! All our favorites are now available with free shipping all the time! I'll take all the fun bright colored pants and shorts and pretty necklaces please and thank you!

Deck Stripe Tee | Crystal Blossom Necklace | Shirting Stripe Ruffle Top | Rider Italian Leather Mini Bag | Rhodes Italian Pants | City Trench Coat

3. Florals... for spring? Groundbreaking... but florals for fall? Yes please! Just add darker colors like this Alice + Olivia Clyde Shift Dress - perfect for fall with a jacket and some ankle booties.

Or this Nicholas Floral Bow Strapless Dress - so effortlessly pretty and breezy for fall!  I'd pair it with a beautiful statement necklace and leather jacket.

4. As much as I love Bath and Body Works 3 wick candles, I'm also a huge fan of Yankee Candles especially for fall and Christmas scents. You can score a double deal at Bed Bath and Beyond right now, as the below scents are the "fragrances of the month" at 25% off plus you can use the 20% off coupons that come in the mail on top of the discounted price.
Autumn Wreath - my fav!

5. I'm excited to see what my girls have planned for baby girl's shower this weekend. Everything is a complete surprise, except I know that I'll be donning the dress from this post for the occasion.

Spring Wish List

Happy last day of March! As we head into April, I wanted to share some of my favorite items I'm hoping to pick up (if I haven't already) for spring and summer (and here in Florida it means the "fall" too).

Spring Wish List

Smashbox BB Cream - this time of year I'm all about simplifying my beauty routine which means cutting out primer and foundation, and using BB cream instead. Huge bonus points that it contains SPF in it too!
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - everyone has been raving about micellar water, and I love the extra boost to remove excess oil and makeup.
KS Elisa Pendant Necklace - Kendra Scott is still killin' it in the jewelry department, and these sparkly Elisa pendants are too pretty to pass up.
Pineapple Tee - As if we needed another reason to love Etsy!
J. Crew Chino Shorts - J. Crew's Chino shorts are a staple in my warm weather wardrobe. I've been collecting as many colors as I can!
J. Crew String Bikini Top - we all need a pretty floral bikini top in our lives
Jelly Bow Sandals - these flippies are just too cute, I mean that bow! Tory Burch continues to win all the prizes for best sandals.
O'Neill Sophie Cover-Up - always on the hunt for a great cover up for upcoming vacations and beach/pool/boat days. How pretty is the crochet detailing in the front?
Essie's Sunshine State of Mind - hands down my favorite new color this season for at-home manis.

What are some of your favorite items for spring?

Friday Favs

Happy Friday! I just need one of these installed at my house....
I'm totally crushing on J. Crew's new sunglasses line which is of no surprise....

Ryan - how pretty is that rose gold?!

I've always loved the Viva La Juicy fragrance line, but the new Rose is tugging at my heart strings even more with it's rose gold packaging and sparkly bottle. I sampled it the other day, and of course it smells incredible too!
Last year my nail polish obsessions were Flowerista and Sunday Funday, but this year Sunshine State of Mind is my new fav! I have a feeling it'll be on serious repeat through spring and summer.

With the weather warming up, I can't stop thinking about upcoming fun beach days and trips for this year (Denver is still the only trip set in stone and a work trip up to the panhandle, but still trying to figure out this year's big trip). And when Pamela sent me a photo earlier this week from Key West last year, it had me even more reminiscent of all the fun had last year on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise, Boca Raton, Key West, the lazy river, and Punta Cana.
As always, I'm loving my recent finds on Pinterest:
