Sephora Goodies + Sale

Happy first day of September! I'm not quite sure where August went, but I am still squeezing out the last goodness of summer until the calendar or the weather tells me to stop. Or I may continue the fun even longer, which is why I moved to Florida.

With the close of August, comes the rest of my shopping sprees courtesy of birthday gift cards. I cashed in another gift card at Sephora and picked up a few more items I'd been wanting to try out. Other than the moonshadow palette (which is a part of the sale), I went for mostly hair products.
Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo | Blossom & Bloom Ginseng Volumizer | DryBar Mai Tai Spritzer | Single Ribbon Hair Tie | Moonshadow Baked Palette
I may have had a few Sephora hauls recently, but that doesn't mean I don't have some favorites at their So Long, Summer Sale. Below are some of my picks from the sale, including one of my holy grail products - Urban Decay Primer Potion.

What are you hoping to pick up at the sale at a great price?

Murad Daily Clarifying Cleanser

A few weeks ago, I opened up here about my on-going battle with adult acne and how Murad's Acne Clearing Solution seemed to be one of the only products to help. But I had also wanted to take it a step further, and ad their cleanser to my routine. After a recent Sephora trip, I picked up the travel set which includes not only the cleanser, but also spot treatment and a convenient travel case which will of course come in handy on my upcoming trips.

My routine now consists of using the cleanser with my Clarisonic Mia, afterwards I apply the Acne Clearing Solution, and last but certainly not least I apply to Acne Spot Fast Fix to problem areas. I believe that the combination between the active ingredients of Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide are what help clear up my skin (similar to ProActiv's active ingredient combination). The ingredients may sound scary, but these products are formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates which is great news!

My skin would still need to be airbrushed for perfection if I was ever professionally photographed, but I am enjoying clearer skin than I've seen in years and I'm definitely happy with the results.

The Fight Against Adult Acne

Ever since I went off the pill a few years ago, my skin has been breaking out worse than a teenager. After countless trips to the dermatologist, pills, creams, a Clarisonic Mia, and a cycle of ProActiv it's been diagnosed as hormonal acne. Hence the pill helping my skin stay clear all those years....

I received a sample of Murad's Acne Clearing Solution with an online purchase at Sephora, and seemed to be the only product that helped clear up my hormonal acne. So, I decided to use my $20 VIB discount in December to buy the full size.

I still use my Clarisonic Mia with a daily cleanser to get all the excess makeup, dirt, and oil off my face. After patting my face dry, I apply the Murad Acne Clearing Solution and let it air-dry. It contains Salicylic Acid, but it has not dried out my face which is a huge plus.

Next up, I'd like to try their Skin Perfecting Lotion which is great for blemish prone and oily skin *that's me*.
