A taste of fall with sparkles

I'm all about bright colors and fun sparkles, and this top from SheIn is the perfect combination of both. How fun are those sparkly elbow pads? And a quick heads up - those beautiful peep toe ankle booties are back on sale again at Nordstrom!

Even though the weather is starting to cool off here in Florida, it's still too warm to be wearing long sleeves and pants so I like to mix it up with a breezy long sleeved tee paired with shorts and ankle booties for a taste of fall fashion.

Celebration Weekending

Happy Monday! Ok now that's an oxymoron, but I'm feeling recharged and ready to take on the week ahead. But first... coffee of course.

Friday both H and I took the day off to get things done and celebrate his recent promotion. We took advantage of Starbucks' BOGO deal, and I had my first red cup of the season which of course calls for staged photographs of said pretty cup.

Because we were out and about all day and into the evening, I didn't hear about the heartbreaking attacks in Paris until late. I will never understand such hatred and lack of regard for innocent lives. All we can do is pray for those affected by these acts and those who are filled with so much hate. France and Lebanon which were both attacked this weekend are weighing heavily on my heart.

Saturday was time to celebrate the birthday girl with a fun night out that included dinner and a pub crawl.

We enjoyed dinner outdoors with some live music before moving on for the birthday girl's pub crawl. The night was filled with good food, laughs, drinks, and dancing under the stars.

Sunday was about relaxing and football after a Barre3 sweat session. It felt so nice to relax at home after traveling and running through airports the past two weekends. And I'm sure Roxy enjoyed having extra snuggle time too.

Basically Friday

Happy Friday! I'm going to go totally basic on all of you today with my excitement over Sephora, Nordstrom, and Starbucks today. Brace yourself!

1. As I'm sure you've seen all over the blogiverse today starts the VIB sale, you can find my picks here. I'll be back next week to share what I picked up for Christmas gifts and some gifts for myself.

2. Starbucks BOGO holiday drinks are back this weekend. Now through Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00pm enjoy buy one get one free of their select holiday drinks. Go get your yummy caffeine fix on while running holiday errands or getting ready to go out for the evening.

3. As if I needed another reason to love Nordstrom more, they seriously continue to win all the prizes. In the past several years as stores have been opening earlier and earlier on Thanksgiving Day masquerading as "Black Friday", I've felt awful for the employees forced to work instead of stuffing their faces with turkey and enjoying time with their family and friends. I will never shop on Thanksgiving, and love supporting stores that choose to open their doors on the actual Black Friday.

4. One of my favorite things is a handwritten note, and I still can't get over how adorable these bulldog cards are.
