Bubbles and Pumpkins

October has arrived, and we decided to ride it's coattails this weekend before I have to travel again for work. I kicked off Saturday with a hair appointment to go shorter and darker with my hair (ahem - and cover up all the grays which are multiplying by the day) before we headed out to the pumpkin patch where lil' miss had a ball loading up pumpkins, petting the farm animals, and her first ever hayride.

But it's Florida... so we do all the fun fall stuff in tank tops and shorts (which as you know I'm perfectly fine with). Shout out to the girls I saw at the pumpkin patch in sweaters and boots in the 89 degree weather. I've done a lot of stupid things for the 'gram, but I won't do that. Sorry not sorry.

My drink of choice this weekend was bubbles (of course!), but this time from a can. I've officially hopped aboard the train full steam ahead for the canned wine trend. Add bubbles and I'm even happier! Have you tried Shamps yet? If not, and you're like me and don't like your wine/bubbles to be too sweet or too high cal - then you'll LOVE this! No artificial flavors, less than 1g of sugar, and only 110 calories - slip one of these cans in your bag for all the fall fun!

Lil' miss was in pumpkin heaven, and picked up practically every pumpkin in the patch. She would have brought them all home if she could, and is excited to have more decor for her upcoming birthday party.

Carnaval in Miami

After seeing pictures from last year's Veuve Clicquot Carnaval in Miami, I promised myself I'd rally the girls and road trip down for the weekend this year. Well, it's crazy how quickly time flies and before I knew it the weekend was almost upon us. Oh well, there's always next year right? Maybe I should host a poolside champagne party in the coming months, who's down?
Romper | Hat | Ankle Booties {40% off} | Sunnies {Only $14}

I scooped up these peep toe booties last week which are perfect for spring, and they seriously go with everything. Plus, they'd be perfect for a champagne themed garden party as stiletto heels would sink into the grass. No bueno.

And wouldn't these sunnies fit seamlessly into the Veuve orange theme? So bright, fun, and cheery. I can practically hear the bottles popping! And they're only $14!

Pop fizz clink to the weekend!

Bubbles and Style

As a true summer girl and Floridian where temps aren't lowering anytime soon in the coming months, I've been looking for ways to incorporate fall style into my almost year round summer wardrobe, and I'm loving the pieces at Yoins. So many cute and trendy pieces that are also at fantastic price points, now I just want to scoop up all the things!

I like to add some fun sleeves that are still breathable and flowy in the heat. Cold shoulder and open back detailing are always a good idea when looking for fashion women tops online. They can be paired perfectly with shorts or skirts to stay cool. One of my all time favorite cozy chic looks is a longer sleeved slouchy top paired with shorts and a good pair of wedges.

I also try to incorporate darker colors to summery pieces I was excited to find various ladies fashion blouses online. Stripes are one of my favorite prints, so I try to mix in darker colors as well as some darker florals for fall. I love that the look is still fresh with some darker components, but still weather appropriate.

What are some fun ways you like to transition into the next season while still dressing appropriately for the current weather? Let me know how you'd style some of these tops for fall.

Champagne Friday

Happy Friday! Speaking of champagne, I finally picked up a bottle of Veuve Clicquot a few weeks ago, and now I find myself needing this coffee table book.

I also follow them on instagram, and Florida girls... we need to go to their VCC next year (Veuve Clicquot Carnaval - more details here)!

Every year, they transport the excitement of Carnaval to Miami at the beautiful Perez Art Museum. It's an international celebration featuring traditional carnaval entertainment, samba dancers, drummers, and live music all amidst the beautiful lush Miami landscaping. All of my favorites combined - Miami, champagne, and festivals. And can we talk about how I need one of those VC glasses? So pretty!

All this champagne talk has me even more excited for our upcoming trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley. I love winery tours and tastings, but to do it in the heart of wine country will be surreal and an amazing experience. Bring on the wine and bubbles!
