Spring Training

Nothing gives more motivation to get up and get moving than fun new workout gear, am I right? I typically workout 4x per week, and if I'm lucky 5x. Whenever I feel like I'm falling into a rut with my routine, that means it's time to add a fun new workout and of course gear. Sparkly yoga leggings? Pretty sneakers? Yes please! Move over Lululemon.... Target, Old Navy, and Nordstrom have seriously stepped up their activewear and athleisure game.

I try to mix things up to keep me from getting bored or into a workout rutt. I'm extremely blessed to have a completely free (and did I mention beautiful) gym at work that I utilize on my lunch break a few days a week, I mix in some at home work outs with Jillian Michaels, George St. Pierre, yoga, and free Barre3 workouts on YouTube. Throw in my Saturday morning Bar Method class, and I feel refreshed with a well rounded circuit of cardio, strength, and ab work.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to need that scallop edged leggings and sports bra combo. What are some of your favorite activewear and athleisure pieces lately?

That's a Wrap

I'm still loving my new M-F gig, and as I mentioned here I'm working on re-building my business casual wardrobe after not having a dress code for the past 5 years. With the heat in Florida, I reach for pieces that I won't feel too hot in and also be comfortable to sit and walk in for 8+ hours. Enter this dress which is on major sale for only $23, and comes in 3 colors. Yes please!

Spring Closet Refresh

Happy April! I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter with friends and family. Watching lil' miss have her first Easter egg hunt was too precious, and she loved her non-candy filled Easter basket. I am full throttle into all things spring and summer, and need a closet refresh. Anyone else?

Last year, I was so sick of seeing these wedges everywhere... well in blog land not so much in day to day life - ha! I refused to even think about them, but then this year I came across them again in blush and instantly fell in love. They totally grew on me, and now I definitely need a pair for spring!

I live in dresses this time of year, and still can't get enough of this dress in allll the colors. So, now I'm excited that they released a tank shift dress version that comes in 5 colors. Is it bad that I want to collect them all?! Perfect with sandals or my favorite rose gold sneakers.

The pool is almost warm enough to jump into again, and this gingham tie front bikini is calling my name. The print, the bows, it's just too darling not to scoop up. And it's currently BOGO 50% off for each piece.

These shorts because one can never have too many pairs of jean shorts, and I also can't get enough of the distressed look. Simple, fun, and casual for the weekend or vacay.

There are so many great parks, springs, and lakes around here that I need to pack up a picnic basket, and enjoy before it gets too hot. Nothing beats relaxing while eating outside with a water view on a blanket.

What are some of your must-haves for the change of season?

Baseball Disney Style

Another beautiful spring weekend, and after living in Florida for almost 8 years I can't believe this was my first ever spring training game.

We booked lawn seats so we could spread out a blanket for lil' miss to play, and I was so excited to see we were RIGHT behind the Yankee's bullpen. Watching Chad Green warm up a few feet away = priceless! Now if only it were still the good ol' days, and Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte were out there.....

*The newest and cutest Yankees fan*

Next stop was Disney Springs Downtown Disney for lunch with a view. We grabbed a bite, and some drinks at the Hangar Bar before checking out the roof top bar at the Coca Cola store.

I don't even drink soda, but checking out the Coca Cola store was a must-do to walk up the fun ramp and order some adult beverages from the roof top bar. The views of Disney Springs from up there were worth it and of course the fun drinks.

We tried the Cherry Coke Ripper and the Vanilla Russian (without whip) - both were DELISH! You can find their full menu here

Stop and Sip the Rosé

There's nothing like a fun graphic tee, the perfect peep toe booties, and your first frosé to ring in the beginning of spring.

I stayed true to this fun tee, and enjoyed my 1st frosé of the season. Biana inspired me last year to hunt down the local spots that serve this fun drink, and this one is one of my favs.

Seeing Green

Growing up in Connecticut meant the annual St. Patrick's Day parade downtown in what was usually freezing temps under dreary skies. So, even though we don't have a parade here, I'm definitely loving the sunshine, warmth, and the festivals full of live music, craft beer, and a sea of green. Did I mention the perfect weather?

*Even Lil' Miss enjoyed her water out of a green sippy cup*

I also caved at the Irish pub, and had a green food coloring filled beer. When in Rome right? Now I just wish I was in Rome...

Day Trip with Bubbles

I love day tripping on the weekend, especially when it involves outdoor living and local food and drinks. We headed to Downtown Deland last weekend, which is about a 30-45 minute drive from Orlando and the weather couldn't have been more perfect for exploring.

The first stop was at the Elusive Grape wine bar to enjoy some sparkling rosé outside and some people watching, before heading across the street to the candy shop that was calling out to me with their signs of oreo cake balls. I picked up dark chocolate, red velvet, and peanut butter oreo balls and shamelessly consumed all of them - delish! Then we headed over to the Persimmon Hollow brewery for flights of local beer. Day drinking + drinking local = yes please!
