Look Back at It

It's amazing to me how quickly 2017 came and went, but I wanted to look back and re-share some of my favorite looks, moments, and events of the year. Grab your favorite cup of coffee or glass of bubbles, and enjoy!
January

Rang in the new year at home with friends over good food, lots of bubbles, and fire pit time. My family came to visit, and we played tourist with my brother while celebrating a good friend's birthday. My dad and brother headed back home, while my mom stayed for two months to help out with Serena when I went back to work.

Favorite January Look - Yay Rose

February

Celebrated my mom's birthday with her in town. I treated her to a pedicure at the new nail salon bar Tipsy, and then we enjoyed a celebratory hibachi dinner.

We also attended the Downtown Food and Wine Festival with Pamela and the boys. We had fun sampling wines, bubbles *of course*, and small bites.

Favorite February Look - Currant Slash Tee

March

We took a day trip to St. Augustine (recap here), where we toured the local winery, distillery, and finished the day at rooftop bar on St. Augustine Beach. Florida living at it's finest.

Favorite March Look - Zip Me Up

April

Friends of ours held a chili cook off, and it was fun to taste and judge all the different recipes. I also did some vacation shopping for San Francisco in May, and enjoyed Barre3 in the Park with Pamela.

Favorite April Look - Not So Basic White Tee

May

We celebrated a dear friend's first pregnancy (at the time we were unaware she was doubly blessed with twins!) Emily was the hostess with the mostess, and we enjoyed a fun girls day.

We also jet-setted to San Francisco and Napa Valley for a long weekend with friends. Trip recaps can be found here:

It Was All a Dream - Sonoma and Napa Valley

Favorite May Look - Crochet Detailing and Sunsets

June

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary, and had a pretty quiet month. Lots of pool time, and a fun block party downtown by the lake.

Favorite June Look - Rompin' Around

July

Celebrated Pamela's birthday at our favorite brunch spot, and the following week was the Metallica concert that we had been anticipating for months. Absolutely amazing show....

Favorite July Look - Scallops and Studs

August

Squeezed in a much needed beach day, and celebrated my birthday with a fun brunch.

Favorite August Look - Going with the Flow

September

Hurricane Irma happened, and we were without power for a week. After we recovered from the storm, a friend and I attended the fall fashion show at Macy's.

I also was treated to a hydrafacial and a tour of the newest Couture Med Spa in Central Florida which was absolutely heavenly.

Favorite September Look - Dramatic Florals

October

We took Serena to the pumpkin patch and celebrated her 1st birthday with a mermaid themed party at the house, and her grandparents flew in to celebrate with her.

Favorite October Look - Laced Up and Cozy

November

Celebrated a friend's birthday at a local winery, enjoyed a cozy Thanksgiving weekend, and found this year's Christmas tree in time for our annual holiday party at the house.

Favorite November Look - Distressed Savings

December

Kicked off the month with our annual Christmas party at the house, celebrated Emily's birthday with another fabulous brunch, took lil' miss to Light Up UCF and the downtown boat parade.

Favorite December Look - Oh Christmas Tree

I'll be taking a break from blogging until after the new year so I can focus on celebrating the holidays with family and friends. I'll still be active on InstagramTwitter, and Snapchat so come follow along! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Oh Christmas Tree

It's such a fun time of year for fashion isn't it? Between the bold colors, the lace, the sparkle, and shine we spread Christmas cheer just walking down the street. My favorite faux leather leggings have been on serious repeat, and I love how they can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Boat Parade Weekending

One week countdown! As expected, this exciting time of year has been flying by and there are still a few festive things I need to squeeze in before the big day. After last weekend, and with lil' miss feeling sick it was nice to have a cozier weekend consisting of going out to see Christmas displays and lights, and we caught the annual boat parade down at the lake.

Fill 'er up! One more week until a much needed Christmas break. Full steam ahead with all the coffee, and looking forward to true relaxation and quality time with friends and family.

*Speaking my love language*

For the record, I'm not a gin person but a few friends introduced me to a well made gin martini recently and I may be on my way to conversion. So, when H brought home a bottle of Tanquery the other day I wanted to mix up something fun and festive. I shall call it Christmas Berry Pine.

Christmas Berry Pine

2 oz. of gin
Club soda
Splash of cranberry juice
Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
Pour over ice

All of the lights... all of the lights

One of my favorite Christmas past times is going to see all the beautiful lights. There's just something so magical about twinkle lights, and with the recent temperature drop last weekend was the perfect time to go take them in. I broke out some wintery pieces that rarely get touched because Florida (which don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining. I moved down here for year round warmth and love not dealing with bitter cold anymore), and am happy to report that almost my whole look is on sale. Oh hello holiday sales!

Flannel {On sale for $16} | Vest  {50% off}Jeans {Less than $50} | Sparkly BeanieBoots | Lipstick in Smile

The lighting isn't great since it was well... night time. Could I have spent an extra hour or two editing them to their full potential? Perhaps, but life happens and so do cozy nights watching Christmas movies. So there's that...

Lights and Brunching

We are officially into the holiday season, and the sunshine state even got a taste of some colder weather over the weekend. I wouldn't be a true Floridian if I didn't break out my winter gear with the temps dropping below 60, because you never know when you'll get a chance to wear boots and that warm beanie waiting patiently in your closet next.

On Saturday, we took lil' miss to go see the Christmas light display at Light Up UCF where they have a light show, carriage rides, ice skating, and even fake snow showers.

On Sunday, we celebrated Emily with a birthday brunch. We even got to celebrate with Nikki who's in town for the week. It was fun to catch up with the girls over some mimosas and comfort food.

Now, it's time to count down the days until a much needed Christmas break. Looking forward to true relaxation and family time.

Stuffed with Sparkle

Tired of the over abundance of gift guides yet? Yeah, me too... so I like to think of this as more of a round up of my favorite fun pieces to find wrapped in "Santa Paper" in my stocking on Christmas morning. Feel free to play along!
Stocking Stuffers

I'm all about shimmer and sparkle especially during the holiday season, and I add this shimmering powder to all my makeup looks this time of year.

I used to stop for coffee every morning before work, but have been loving setting my coffee maker to brew when I get up in the morning to bring it with me. Easy peasy! So, this mug is definitely a necessity.

Believe it or not, it does get pretty chilly here and sometimes even downright cold in the sunshine state as we head into winter and this beanie is too darling to pass up.

I love to bake, especially during the holiday season and thought these cookie presses were too cute. Plus they're a fun take on one of my favorite coffee table book

Perfume to go? Yes please! Something like Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue is always a classic, and never goes out of style. One of my all time favs!

I have tried countless mascaras both designer and drug store brands, and yet I keep coming back to my trusty Falsies. They give my lashes the best volume and fullness without flaking or caking. And you can't beat the price, perfect lil' stocking stuffer!

Treating someone to their morning cup of coffee is always a great idea, and Starbucks gift cards can be easily loaded onto their app to use towards collecting more coveted gold stars.

If you're not totally over all the gift guides, I also rounded up some of my favorite hostess gift ideas here. Happy Shopping! Fa la la la la la la la LA!

Another cute idea is to pick up the mini bottles of La Marca Prosecco (found at Target or liquor stores), and tie a straw to them for instant bubbles. Santa does get me!

Kicking Off the Season

Tis the season indeed! Our annual Christmas party was over the weekend, and it's one of my favorite ways to kick off December. Festive treats, cocktails, and an always eventful White Elephant/Yankee Swap/Dirty Santa gift swap.

The Hostess with the Mostess

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Bring on all the holiday events, parties, and family gatherings. I never like to arrive empty handed, and rounded up some ideas to thank your hostess with the mostess if you're traveling this holiday season.
The Hostess with the Mostess

Tis the season for dry skin, so bring on all the hydrating lotions and creams. How darling is this Hands of Hope ornament? It makes a cute stocking stuffer as well.

I think something we all agree upon is a mutual love for coffee and bubbles/wine. This mug nails it with both.

I'm sentimental, and love filling my home with pictures of family, friends, and fun travels. There's no such thing as too many framed memories, and how pretty is this frame? I may have to collect all three beautiful colors!

A fun cheese spread is a go-to app at a lot of parties, and these cheese knives are too pretty to pass up. And because cheese which pairs perfectly with this wine tote

The holiday season = baking season, and I don't know about you but I get flour everywhere.... a good apron is key. And a festive apron is even better!

The smart home voice controlled devices are becoming more and more popular, and are on everyone's list this year. And with the Echo Dot dropping in price, and being only $29 it's a total steal!

It's not a party without fun glassware, and these stemless wine glasses are too cute and perfect for the season.

And never underestimate the trusty ol' gift card. Treat your host to their next cup of coffee or a candle from Bath and Body Works. Do I hear Champagne Toast?
