It's the most wonderful time of the year

So many sales, so little time! Express has been on point lately with their sales (currently 40% off everything), and I scooped up these pretties last weekend for only $30 ~ stay tuned to see them styled in next week's post! But right now, I'm all about the Nordstrom Fall Sale and Sephora's annual Beauty Insider Event. People ask me all the time why I love Sephora over Ulta and the answer is simple, better sales with zero exclusions. The sale is valid on every single item period.

Since I loved my cold shoulder Caslon sweatshirt (styled here) that I scooped up last spring, I knew I'd love their side tie sweatshirt as well. Nothing beats cozy chic! And sales too of course!

Best of Both Worlds

I couldn't resist this blue top that combined two of my favs ~ bell sleeves and cold shoulder detailing. The bow on top *pun intended* was the tie front giving it a little extra flair. Oh and did I mention it's super cozy, and keeps me cool even in the warmer FL temps we're still experiencing? Winning all around!

My Little Mermaid

I may be a week late, but my heart is still full from all the love celebrating baby girl and her first birthday party. After months of planning, pinning, and shipments arriving from Etsy and Amazon I can't believe the day has come and gone.

I chose the theme of "Our Little Mermaid is Turning One" since girlfriend loooooves to be "splishy splash" at bath time and swimming in the pool. I didn't go full throttle with the Disney movie theme, just mermaids in general which turned out great with the lavender and teal color combo.

The cake was made by my very talented neighbor, and she even included a 4 inch smash cake that was made without eggs since Serena has a minor egg white allergy. If you're in the Central Florida area, and ever need a cake baker let me know and I'll send along her info. Her cakes taste just as great as they look!

"Sand" was brown sugar

Favors

I knew I didn't want to just give away cheap dollar store trinkets that will go right into the garbage, and I also didn't want to fill up the kiddos with a bunch of candy with Halloween a few days after the party. So, I ordered some small beach pails and filled them with goldfish packets to keep with the theme.

*Silverware was of course appropriately named Dingelhoppers*

All the Pumpkins

Happy Friday! I'm sure everyone is in agreement of how in the world are we already into November? Halloween is over, and we're in full on Thanksgiving prep mode and Christmas shopping has begun. Craziness!

We carved our pumpkin that we scooped up at the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago in time for Halloween. Baby girl has squealed every time she sees it, and looooves her giant "punkin".

Halloween night called for The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, trick or treaters, and wine with my fav neighbors. She was dressed up as V for Vendetta which reminded me how much I was slacking and that I need a costume for next year even just to hand out candy.

The sales have already started, and I'm trying so hard to be good because it's definitely time to start shopping for friends and family already. The big guy will be coming down the chimney before we know it!

I have been eyeing these leggings for a good year now, and have watched them go in and out of stock. Not only are they back in stock, but they're currently 40% off. Definitely time to finally pull the trigger!

Mesh Leggings {Less than $24} - BP.

I can't resist this shirt dress which is on major sale. It'll be perfect for work and play, and how darling is that tie front bow? *Swoon*

Dress {Less than $20} - Target

I need these stemless wine glasses for my Thanksgiving tablescape. They're the cutest, and they're on sale so they're practically begging me to add them to my online cart.

Stemless Wine Glasses {only $4} - Crate and Barrel

And how pretty are these ballet flats? Perfect for holiday parties instead of killing your feet in heels all night. My girl Jessica knocked it out of the park!
Ballet Flats - Jessica Simpson

I'll be back with a full recap of baby girl's birthday party on Monday, but for now I'll leave you with a pic of her beautiful cake which even though it's finished I'm still totally craving. Mmmmmm cake *in my best Homer Simpson voice*.

Shine Bright Like a Diamond

Don't you just love pieces that fit like a glove as if they were made just for you? When I received this skirt from eShakti that's exactly what happened. Ordering from them is such a fun process from start to finish. I picked a piece that felt classically beautiful, but with a fun diamond print because who doesn't love diamonds? Then I entered my measurements and chose the length and fit, and voila! An added bonus is you can choose to add pockets to any dress or skirt.

Jewel Toned

I can't get enough jewel tones, and I'm immediately drawn to these colors in my closet right now. This top I scooped up at Express a few seasons ago is the perfect shade of green, and it's oh so cozy and light weight for Florida fall.
