I Officially Watch Too Much TV

I Officially Watch Too Much TV

You know that embarrassed feeling you get when you realize your DVR is completely overloaded with mindless tv that you just have to watch? Yep... that's me! And what makes it worse is 95% of it is on Monday nights creating scheduling conflicts with my DVR. I can't stand our cable provider and soooo wish AT&T Uverse was available in our neighborhood. I miss it so much!

H showed me tonight that both Smash and 2 Broke Girls won't record this upcoming Monday since I have too many other shows set too record. #FirstWorldProblems

My Monday night line up:

Can we just meet the freakin' mother already!? Gahhh!

The Bachelor takes up 2 long hours on my DVR... dang that show and all it's addictive craziness!

Such a trainwreck but I can't stop watching for some reason..

Oh Lisa how I love how fabulous you and your accent are!

Can.not.freakin'.wait for this to begin again... buuuuut my DVR begs to differ

So sad that Larry Hagman passed, but he will be on most of this season!

It's a good thing Gossip Girl finally ended and Hart of Dixie moved to Tuesday nights... it takes me all week to catch up on my Monday night tv!

I read the book "The Carrie Diaries" and was hoping to watch the new tv series, but just guess when it's on?! Yep..  Monday nights. I then planned on watching it online but haven't had the time. I have a problem...

Anyone else need to go to a tv anonymous group like me?

Super Bowl Goodies

Super Bowl Goodies

I can't believe the super bowl is coming up this weekend! Our same friend who threw a party last year is hosting again this year and she has the great idea that all the ladies bring something to eat and all the fellas bring something to drink. This way, the host doesn't have to burden themselves with the cost and the time it takes to prepare and supply a ton of food and drinks for everyone. Genius! Last year, I brought cookie dough dip but this year, I plan on bringing something more savory.

My bff and I both pinned Cheddar Bacon Dip on Pinterest last year right before the big game and she made it and said it came out amazing! So, I'm excited to try it out.

16 oz. of sour cream (I'll use reduced fat)

1 packet of ranch dressing mix

3 oz. of bacon bits (from the bag not the jar)

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (I'll use reduced fat or fat free)

Mix together and refrigerate for 24 hours. Serve with chips and/or veggies

I'll also be armed with plenty of these:

What do you plan on making for the big game?

Weekend Wrap Up

Weekend Wrap Up

Monday, how are we meeting again? I thought I told you we are NOT friends! :-P

I'm happy to report that H and I had a super relaxing weekend which was really nice for a change. Friday, we came home and had happy hour at the house. I made some apps, and we drank our own drinks (whoo hoo FREE!), and watched a Netflix. Great cozy night at home, I love those!

Saturday, I got up early and went to my re-scheduled hair appointment that was originally set for the week before but I was too sick (due to self inflicted pain) to get there. I was sad to find out it was my stylist's last day and she's moving to salon 45 minutes south of here which is a big fat bummer. She was the 1st stylist I clicked with since moving here, and I hate that I have to return to the hunt of looking for another new one. I went to the same stylist in CT for over 10 years, so it was soooo hard for me to find a new one here, and now I have to start the whole process all over again. *vent over*

All foiled up with a yummy cup of coffee

I was lusting after her bag the whole time, and I told her I was going to have to order it. She laughed and said she was going to do the same with my sandals. Ya know.. typical girl stuff!

She did an amazing job, she took several inches off since my hair was damaged and I wanted to bring some pizazz back to it and I was looking for blonde highlights without looking too blonde. I was blonde for 12 years, and H prefers me as a brunette so I've tried to compromise with him half way :)

Ready for our Saturday afternoon errands with my new hair-do

We ran all over the place and picked up some stuff for the house including something to hang over the bed in the downstairs guestroom. That wall was nekked!

I chose We chose this butterfly piece to go above the bed in the guestroom so the wall would have something on it.

We also stopped and got some apps and a pitcher at Buffalo Wild Wings and got to sit at the bar outside since it was absolutely gorgeous out. Not too hot, not too cold.

Then, we went to Super Target (my happy place!) and did some grocery shopping, and I also picked up these beauties on clearance:

$8.98 down from $29.99 they also had a nude color that I wanted but they didn't have my size boooo!

Last but not least, we stopped at Home Goods and picked up a new bed for our princess since she destroyed her old one. Yeah, she's not as innocent as she looks!

Someone loves her new bed!

We took Roxy for a walk when we got home, and a bunch of our neighbors were out working on their lawns or walking their dogs. It was a nice Saturday night early-evening catch up with everyone. One of the many reasons I love the neighborhood we chose. We love how quiet and charming it is, and we lucked out with some fantastic neighbors, a lot of which have become good friends of ours.

Sunday, I made a big breakfast of omelettes, wheat toast, and turkey sausage and we enjoyed it out on the patio with Roxy of course.

She loves sitting with us outside

This is why I love weekend mornings.....

We decided both of our cars needed a bath so we washed both of our cars, and even Roxy got a bath outside while running away a few times. Even on a soft mist, she does NOT like to be sprayed by the hose.

Pearly got her 1st bath!

Nails of the week:

I'm almost done trying out all my colors from the Naked Nails set by Urban Decay. This shade is Smog and it came out a lot prettier than I was expecting.

Hope you all have a great week! :)

Sunday Social

Sunday Social

Happy Sunday! Time to link up with Ashley and Neely for Sunday Social.

1. What is your ideal way to relax?

~ I have several different modes of relaxation... on Sundays it could be snuggled up on the couch with H and Roxy and a cup of coffee. On a Friday afternoon, it's with a margarita at happy hour, on a weeknight it could be going for a pedicure and enjoying being pampered. Either way, there is either a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or a margarita in hand ;0)

2. Where is your favorite place to be?

~ On vacation! I am at my happiest with some sand between my toes and an umbrella drink in my hand and not having to worry about going to work and every day life.

3. Who do you consider your biggest role model?

~ My mom. She taught me how to be self reliant but at the same time to be a loving wife. She is the epitome of what I want to be. She's tough when she needs to be, but sweet and easy to talk to. She's a hard worker, but knows the importance of down time and socialization. Her sense of humor and sarcasm have taught me to make light of tough situations, and her unconditional love for my brother, me, and my dad is more than I could ever ask for. She's a Godly woman with a huge heart and I hope I can pass on these same qualities to my future children.

4. What does your life look like in 3 years?

~ Hopefully our little family will include little ones running around. H and Roxy make the perfect little family for right now, but babies are starting to be on the brain for us.

5. If you could go back and change one decision what would it be?

~ I'm sure a lot of people will have the same answer here... my ex who was so detrimental to my my growth as a person and my well being.

I'm so thankful for my wonderful H who has been nothing but understanding and helping me rebuild my life with him. He seriously is the best!

6. What is your biggest accomplishment(s) in life so far?

~ Graduating from college

~ Marrying the love of my life

~ Hopping on a plane to FL to interview for a job and landing it so that we could start our lives down here. Sooooo much happier!

~ Watching our house be built and becoming 1st time homeowners. Real estate is significantly cheaper here than CT. Aside from the weather, the cost of living is what drove us down here.

Happy Sunday! :)
